It’s no secret that blogs are a great advertising medium. The trick for companies is finding out how to attract the attention of bloggers to get them to talk about their product.
PokerStars, an online poker site, has figured out a way by offering up around $40k of prizes to bloggers via a free tournament. Any blogger can sign up if they have a blog that’s at least two months old, and is updated “regularly”. All the blogger has to do is insert some code into their blog that advertises the tournament.
Now do you wish you had a blog? Even though I already have a WSOP seat (yeah, I’m still pumped), I don’t see how I can pass this up.
